Condé Nast Traveller Say Newquay Has Grown Up

Book now for 2024.Surfing, Fistral, Beach, Headland ViewsOne of the world's top travel and holiday review publishers has run a fantastic article on Newquay, highlighting how the seaside destination has grown up from the hen and stag party destination into the choice of the discerning traveller.

Condé Nast Traveller starts the article: "This seaside town was thrust into the limelight in the swinging Sixties as it became the home of British surfing, and soon it was a teenage celebration hotspot. Now it's matured, you can find secret French-inspired wine bars, impressive outdoor spas and beachside saunas bringing together wellness and nature."

This is added to the traditional surf capital of the UK held by Newquay and it's surrounding beach destinations.

Headland Views is ideally placed to get the best out of Newquay overlooking Fistral beach and a walk from the town centre and other great attractions.

Rick Stein’s Cornish Tips

Rick Stein, Cornwall’s favourite adopted son, he’s originally from Oxford, and celebrity chef, revealed his favourite pubs, beaches, shopping places, and much more to Metro this week. His insight is ideal for anyone looking to stay at Headland Views, Newquay.

Rick, who views Cornwall as where he is from, splits his time between Cornish shores and Australia. He highlights Constantine Bay, near Padstow as his favourite beach, which is not too far from Headland Views.

He also highlights his favourite local food, unsurprisingly a Cornish Pasty – but he will not reveal the source of what he thinks is the best pasty in Cornwall, he will not want them selling out when he has the taste for one!

His top tip for first-time visitors to experience, and seasoned ones as well, is “go for a cliff walk and take in the views virtually anywhere around our beautiful coastline.” With South West Coast Path a mere few yards from Headland Views it is my recommendation as well.
